Free Online Storage – QQ Disk

QQ International gives you free cloud storage thanks to Tencent Cloud integration. The following article refers to an unsupported feature, please upgrade to the latest version of QQ International for Windows.

QQ Disk offers you 1GB storage in the cloud for free, you can upload your files on QQ disk and access your files from any computer at anytime and  anywhere. It’s a great way to keep a copy of all important files and transfer large files between computers.

QQ Disk is pre-installed in v1.5. If you have an older version of QQi, go to the App Box and look for it under “Pre-installed” category, or simply search the name.

Once it’s added, go to ‘My Apps’ tab on the main panel and open it.

In QQ Disk, you can create folders to organize your files.

To create a folder, click on the “+Folder” icon, then name the folder as you like as below.

To upload files, click on the “Upload” icon and select the file you would  like to upload from your computer. You can also drag and drop files to the desired folder. You can see the status of the files in the Task menu, whether it’s still uploading/download or it’s done.

For added security, you can set up additional password to protect your files on QQ Disk. To set up password, click on “Settings” icon and select “Security” tab on Settings window. Then, enter your password as below. This password should be different from your QQ password.

After setting your QQ Disk password, the next time you login, you will see the password login request to access your files on QQ Disk as below.

In this new version of QQ v 1.5 has automatic translated as receive messages?
It would be nice to receiving translated messages is equal to send messages that is automatic.
Complicated the process of asking all the time to translate the messages.
